Chris Magee has been promoted to Vice President of Sustainable Facilities, while Yalmaz Siddiqui joined MGM Resorts as Vice President of Corporate Sustainability.

Magee’s passion for resource conservation throughout Nevada and the United States, as well as his expertise on lighting and energy efficiency, has earned him national recognition. An engaged thought leader in his field, he has held a number of volunteer roles on local and national sustainability committees. He serves as the chair of the Conservation District of Southern Nevada. He also currently serves as the Steering Committee Chair of the newly-developed Department of Energy Hospitality for the Better Buildings Alliance. Magee is also a longtime member and past chair of the Lighting & Electrical sub-committee for the U.S. Department of Energy Better Building Alliance.

Yalmaz Siddiqui, Vice President of Corporate Sustainability

Siddiqui brings an extensive background in corporate sustainability to his new role. He most recently served as Senior Director of Sustainability at Office Depot. During his ten-year tenure with the global company, he was responsible for leading the strategy and implementation of a series of social and environmental sustainability programs across the organization. While at Office Depot, Siddiqui helped the company increase sales of environmentally preferable products from $1.2 billion to $3.2 billion; reduced carbon emissions by more than 40 percent; and achieved recognition from Newsweek Magazine as America’s #1 large green retailer for three consecutive years.
